Economic Impact Report
Demonstrating the Economic Value of Contra Costa Community College District
In 2024, the District worked with economic modeling specialist Lightcast to determine the economic impact the District and its colleges had on Contra Costa County in fiscal year 2022-23. In November 2024, the report concluded that the District has a significant positive impact on the local economy and is a sound investment from multiple perspectives including students, taxpayers and the community as a whole. In order to conduct the report, Lightcast (formerly Emsi Burning Glass) used labor market data to provide useful information that helps the District understand the connection between our economy and our communities.
